Bead Soup Reveal!

Good morning everyone its my turn for the bead soup reveal, the top photo shows what Lisa, of Lucid Moon Studio, sent me.

I made two necklaces and I still have leftovers, the good kind. In the first necklace I wanted to show off the copper discs that Lisa etched, so I made some enamel discs in bright colors for contrast. I used all of Lisa's chain that she included, there is copper chain in the back and brass chain in the front, mixing these metals totally works. Lisa I think you should include some of your etched copper in your supply shop.
In the next necklace I started with the colors of the czech glass and turquoise stone that Lisa sent me. Turquoise and topaz are always a recurring themes in my lampwork glass beads, so of course I had a glass focal bead in my stash that worked perfectly. The Green Girl shibuichi toggle needed to be center stage, it is a wonderful warm color that works with copper or brass. I wire wrapped the stones and czech glass that Lisa gave me, and added some of my own copper chain.
I still have a beautiful Green Girl tube bead and tear drop turquoise stone, both of which I want to stand alone as pendants.
Thank you Lisa for giving me such great ingredients to work with, you knew my colors so well that I had all the ingredients on hand that I needed for this project. A big thank you to Lori for organizing this fun swap, I know it must have taken a lot of time. Please visit Lori's blog and visit the links to all of the other bead soup participants, if you are having a creative slump it is a great way to get inspired.

Wednesday beads will be late tonight (eastern time). It was all glass last week so it is all enamel this week, and I also have some enamel earrings for the jewelry shop.

I am going to be out of town for a long weekend, I am driving my 15 year old to Explo camp on the Yale campus, she will be there for three weeks!!! So I will not be able to get your orders in the mail until Tuesday, June 29th. I will still have internet access so if you want a custom order or have any questions contact me via etsy.

See you later.

Anne, these are AWESOME!! Your enamel looks so good with the etched copper! Btw, I spent an entire day trying to etch more copper, but they never etched. I can't figure out why...only thing I can think is my solution isn't any good for some reason. I'll have to try again with new solution.

Your glass tube bead in the second necklace matches the beads perfectly! You did such a nice job showcasing the bird toggle too.

I already have people at my work bidding against each other for my bead soup designs...they LOVED your beads!

I'm so glad we were paired up :)

Fabulous pieces! I'm also inspired of the color combination. It made me feel like giving my daughter a treat of earrings of the same colors. I'll order some earrings from my friend here in our place and she can contact the copper and sheet brass suppliers in order to create some. Thanks for sharing!
