I could go either way on the coordinating beads...I think it might be nice, though, to have a couple to throw in as earrings or with a coordinating bracelet. So, I guess that's a positive response. :) Jen
p.s. Congrats on #300!!!

I think coordinating beads are a nice way go.

coordinating beads are always nice.....either to add to what ever you create with the focal, or to make some earrings with, but as with most bead hoarders I think we could probably pull something from our own stash that would go fairly well with the focal either way its good! I will give you a mention on my blog

I think I like to see it both ways. I like to order just what I want, but sometimes I find it hard to put it all together and if that guesswork was done for me that would be a blessing! I know it sounds silly, but I often look for sets of "orphans" from my favorite bead artists because I get a greater variety and usually since there is only one of each I get a better deal. I am not so much about the matchy matchy anyway.
Enjoy the day!

Your beads are so divine. I think like bead sets that are put together, takes the guess work out of it.

Thanks for the chance to win these fabulous beads.

you are always going to have 2 schools of thought on this, people who like the ease of a set that matches & those who like to just 'wing it' & sometimes those are the same person!!

I think a mix is always good, but I love to coordinate things :)

It could not hurt to have some small, coordinating beads with your focals. A pair of spacers that could be used with the bead, or used as earrings, would be nice. You would not have to do it with every focal listing - you could try it out with a couple of focals and see what happerns.

I have a whole new batch of keys - you can choose which ever one you like as a trade.

Definitely yes on the coordinating beads. I'm all about necklaces and bracelets so I think it would be nice, because it might not be so easy to find as nice matching ones as the artist herself would have picked, you know? You probably have a better eye for matching your beads than anyone else could have, am I right?
I do think that they should be left as optional though, like "here I am listing my focals" and if you want matching beads go "here" for them.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY like the turquoise/sienna beads! :)

Coordinating beads make sense to me, you might even get people just looking for the accent beads rather than focals :)

I think that coordinating beads are always a nice option. Congratulations on 300 sales. I adore your beads!

Your beads are wonderful-I love the ones I've gotten from you!

I could go either way. I guess it would depend on the colors in the focal. If I had something in my stash, I wouldn't care so much. But if it's a color I don't usually work with, then coordinating extras would be cool.
Not much help, huh?

Thanks for doing the givaway! I hope I win :)

More beads is always good!! Whether the buyer uses the coordinating ones with the focal or on another project, they'll still have BEADS!!

Congratulations on 300 ! wahoo!
i think optional co-ordinating beads is a good idea. Or even a cheeky few as a surprise in the package to inspire?!
Thanks XX Lauren
and, i forgot to mention in my previous comment, blog about your giveaway coming right up :D

Having coordinating beads is always a great idea! Beautiful beads!!

I definitely like having the option of coordinating beads, but I think it would be better if they were sold seperately of the focal. Sometimes I might not have any beads to match, but I really like the focal so I would purchase matching beads as well. Other times, I might already have beads in my stash and just want the focal.

Congrats on your sales!! I'm very happy for you. Thanks for yet another awesome giveaway!!

I like the idea of coordinating beads but
perhaps not for every focal bead. I have purchased focals/coordinating beads together but not used the beads - they go inyo the stah and get used for another project. I have some of your beads and the enamel beads are nice with focals too.

coordinating beads makes it much eaiser for us newbies. Your focals are beautiful.

I like seeing coordinating beads with focals. sometimes it helps to bring together a whole picture for the beads and spurs the creative process.

Lovely beads. I think your beads are lovely as they are. I would like to have a choice if I wanted to buy coordinating beads.

Supply Pusher Angie said...

I think it is a good option- some people have trouble putting items together. Having said that, I typically don't buy too many coordinating items... I don't like to be too "match-ey".

Can't wait to get the beads I ordered from you!

:)

Tamsen said...

I could probably go either way, depending upon the focal. In order to avoid losing a customer who may not want coordinating beads, you could try listing the coordinating beads separately...perhaps even a couple of groups of 2 or 3 or 4 coordinating beads. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win some of your gorgeous beads!

I was so excited to read about your promotion on Lucid Moon Studio's blog! I've been drooling over you enamel filigree beads on Etsy for some time!

I love so many of your pieces - co-ordinating or not. I think your beads are wonderful and would be honoured to receive any selection that you'd chosen. Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway!

I'm pleased to have your blogging address now, too!

Best wishes!

The beads are gorgeous! When it comes to coordnating beads I could go either way. Sometimes I like the whole piece to match, and sometimes I look for contrasting beads just for fun (hubby can't get that concept).

I wouldn't want to spoil the beauty of the beads by coordinating it too much with other beads. Keeping glass focs as focal beads would enhance any jewelry piece.
