I think you will forgive me...

At least I hope you will, Wednesday beads will be postposed till Thursday.
Because last night I was busy making a set of 9 beads for my
Bead Giveaway!!!
I already had a giveaway in my bead shop to celebrate my 50th sale, but I wanted to include my blog friends in this celebration as well.

So starting today if you comment on this post you will be entered in the giveaway, only one vote per person. I will announce a winner next Wednesday, November 4th. If you would like to blog about this contest that would be great, but it is not required to enter.

I like these colors etched but I will leave that up to the lucky winner. Don't forget to check in tomorrow for some new beads in the shop, off to the torch.

So much color, so little time

Sorry for this very image heavy post, but the images this time of year are amazing. This is the first Fall I have had a blog and I feel more tuned in to documenting the season. So enjoy the picture show.

Sweet Natalie

Japanese maple collection.

We have three dogs and one cat. This is Risa, we think she is a greyhound and pointer mix.

This leaf looks like a mosaic.

Even the absence of color is beautiful

Everywhere I look I see a potential bead, it is really a disease. I will give this a try later.

I am going to try and make some beads today for a blog giveaway I will announce on Wednesday.
Thanks for visiting.

Too Tired

So sorry the beads have been cleaned, but I am too tired to take photos and post so I will have to get to that tomorrow. Because there is a lot of holiday jewelry being made out there, beads will be posted more frequently than usual.

Only two more sales away from FIFTY in the bead shop, some lucky customer will get some free beads!!!!
Thanks for visiting.

Wednesday Beads, all day

Hi everyone, I posted some new focals this morning. However I still have two batches of beads waiting to be cleaned, so I will be posting more beads in the bead shop this evening. Thank you for your patience.

Sunday

Trying to snag some images of Fall before it disappears.
I am in love with a Double Helix glass called "Ecko," I will post some pictures this week.

Sunlight and fall colors through some antique glass.

This is $300 worth of glass, I have been having fun playing with some new colors for me. Back to the torch.

Closing in on 50 sales!!!

Weeeeee! I just noticed that I am 5 sales away from 50 sales in the bead shop. Who ever makes the 50th purchase will get some free goodies of my choice. I plan on doing this for every 50 sales, so there will be other opportunities.

When I get to my 50th sale I will have another bead giveaway on the blog. So stay tuned.
Good luck everyone, and thank you so much for all of your support this has been so much fun for me.

Wednesday Beads

As we get closer to the holidays I will be offering more choices in the bead shop. Wednesday will still be my main day for posting new beads, but you may find a few extras trickle in throughout the week.

I intend to maintain my free shipping to US and Canadian customers at least until after the holidays. I have had requests for more spacer beads, so you will see more listings for those in the shop today, as well as a few focals.
Thanks for visiting.

I love/hate spacers

I will start with the hate part. Spacers are a pain to clean, because they are so small it is challenging and scary to hold on to them when I clean out the bead release. As long as we are on the subject, I think most glass bead makers will agree, that cleaning beads is the dull and time consuming part of our craft. However it is a very important part. If all of the bead release is not removed and the beads are strung, you will constantly find a powdery substance on you and your beads every time you wear your jewelry. So add that to the checklist when looking for quality lampwork beads.

Now for the love part, I love seeing all those colorful spacers lined up when they are done. This is also a teaser of what to expect this Wednesday, so don't forget to stop in tomorrow.

Wednesday Beads, etc.

These are some beads I have been working on lately. I have always had a hard time making the disc shape, but I think I have finally figured it out.

Some pictures from an afternoon walk. We have some wonderful parks and trails in Upstate NY.
.... and finally Wednesday beads, I have posted quite a few this week. Thanks for stopping by.
